Please follow the following steps for a child to be considered for admission to The Cove School

1.   OPEN HOUSE/TOURS:        October-January
Schedule a tour between October and January to visit our school.  Tours are scheduled on Wednesdays from 9-10:30.  Tours are by reservation only.  Please call the admission office (206-923-COVE) to schedule your tour.  This is an adult only visit.
OR
Attend an Open House in October, November or January.  There will be a presentation, tour and plenty of time for questions and answers.  This is an adult only visit to allow for our undivided attention to you and your questions. Open houses are scheduled on a Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30.

2.   APPLICATION DEADLINE:    February 1st
After the Open House or tour, complete the admission application form and admission materials including the questionnaire and teacher recommendation. All applicants must have a Teacher Recommendation. A day care provider, nanny or other instructor may complete the form only in the event your child does not currently have a teacher.  There is a $50 application fee that is non-refundable. Applications are due postmarked by February 15th.  Completed applications are necessary to schedule a child visit.  Applications will be accepted after February 15th, but processed as space is available.

3.    CHILD VISIT:    First week in March
After we receive your application, The Cove School will call you to schedule a visit for your child. This is the time for you and your child to spend the morning with us in the classroom so you can see what we do and how we do it. It’s also an opportunity for us to see your child in our environment and answer any additional questions you may have.  The visits will be scheduled after you have attended a tour or open house and once applications are reviewed.

4.    NOTIFICATIONS:    March 15th
We will mail notification letters of acceptance or wait listed on March 15th.

5.    ENROLLMENT:       March 31st
If your child is invited to be part of our community there is a $100 registration fee plus one month’s tuition that is non-refundable to secure your spot. Your confirmation will be due postmarked by March 31st.

6.    Once you have accepted your spot you will be sent a Registration Packet.    Complete all the forms needed for enrollment plus the parent agreement and return by August 1st along with September’s tuition which is non-refundable.  We will then schedule a home visit.
